This project was assigned as the motion graphic checklist challenge. We were to take everything that we’ve learned with 2D & 3D motion graphics and to put it all together to make one final cohesive piece. The goal was to base our animation off of an existing statistic or fact. I took a more personal route and decided to base one off of a bible verse that I hold close to me which is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
I talked it over with my instructor and he approved the idea and so I got to work right away. Out of all the projects I’ve done, I believe I had the most fun doing this one. Mainly because it was something I am confident and passionate about. I drew up the storyboards, wrote the script, and recorded the voice overs myself. I used both Adobe After Effects & Cinema 4D for the project and even added all the sound effects/music in After Effects as well. As a result of my efforts, I got a near perfect grade (0.5 off again!) I felt the general design & feel to this video was to my own standards, although the builds could’ve been more impressive at the end.
